FINDING SECRETS
IN
RUSSIA
1. Screenplay
In this the sequel to "Finding Alaskans in Greece," the Zeilers and Athena go to Russia for a Christmas vacation, but they end up on a treasure hunt that takes them on a fantastic adventure in Russia. And
each clue to the location of the treasure is hidden inside a Faberge egg. By the way, I named this screenplay before all of the made-up nonsense about Trump and Russia working together to win the 2016 election,
but now, I think it works even more as a funny play on words, and I even wrote in a little shot at the investigation. Please click on Finding Secrets in Russia to
read the screenplay.
2. Pictures
All of the pictures on this webpage (including the picture above) were actually taken in Russia, and they represent a small sample of how beautiful this film will look. Note the pictures aren't arranged
in any particular order.
The Zeilers and Athena are touring the Winter Palace when they
come across their first Faberge egg.
Tristan enters an ice-sculpture competition outside a church where
he tries to carve a reindeer.
The Faberge eggs are, of course, very beautiful.
The Zeiler children and Athena have an epic snowball fight behind their log cabin.
The Zeilers and Athena get into a boat chase against thieves.
Since the Faberge eggs are hidden in churches, a few beautiful Russian churches are shown with their unique architecture.
The Zeilers and Athena ice skate in Red Square.
On a frozen pond, the Zeilers and Athena play "hockey" against the thieves with a Faberge egg as the puck.
The Zeilers and Athena swim in their indoor pool at their log cabin.
The Zeilers and Athena stay at a nice log cabin in the Russian countryside.
Courtney wears a black Russian fur hat, and of course, these hats
are very famous and beautiful.
The Zeilers and Athena ride a sleigh pulled by a horse while they
sing Jingle Bells.
3. Music
There will be four beautiful Christmas carols in this film that will combine to have a great presence with a total screen time of 10 minutes
and 10 seconds, and these songs will be made even better by the stunning imagery that will accompany them. These songs are arranged below in the order from left to right
that they'll appear in the film, so please click on the audio players to listen to them:
"We Wish you a Merry Christmas" I'm not sure who sang this version, but this
isn't the version in
the film anyway (even some of the lyrics are different) since the
five Zeiler kids and Athena sing this as they're Christmas caroling. (2 minutes)
"Away in a Manger" by Libera is the version in the film, but it's "sung" by a
choir in
a church as the Zeilers look for a Faberge egg. (2 minutes and 45
seconds)
"Angels we Have Heard on High" from the album entitled, "Christmas Classics
2 with Harp
and Oboe," plays while Tristan and Ava are sitting in a church and
talking about the amazing history of Christianity. (3 minutes and 5 seconds)
"Jingle Bells" I'm not sure who sang this version, but this isn't the version in
the film anyway since all of the Zeilers and Athena sing this while riding a one-
horse open sleigh. (2 minutes and 20 seconds)
